Our Story
As one of the oldest hotels in Hong Kong, Nathan Hotel, operated by Luk Hoi Tong Co., Ltd., has a reputation for moving with the times. Opened in 1930 in its prime location in Jordan and rebuilt in 1968. The hotel has witnessed redevelopment, renovations and face-lifts over the decades so as to continuously offer its guests a gratifying experience in the most modern facilities.
Our Timeline & Heritage
1930
The Nathan Hotel, located on Nathan Road and officially opened in 1930. Rising five storeys and equipped with an elevator, in-room telephones, and a rooftop ballroom, it was regarded at the time as a stylish, wellappointed modern hotel.
1952
In 1952, to celebrate the Coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, a float parade was held on Nathan Road. Citizens gathered on the balcony of the Nathan Hotel to watch the grand occasion.
1968
In the 1960s, the Nathan Hotel was rebuilt as a modernist 15-storey building and reopened in 1968.
1974
the Casanova Nightclub opened in 1974. it was one of the most popular leisure spots among the white-collar class at the time.
2003
In the 2000s, the Nathan Hotel was refurbished and stands out with its modern architectural style.
2019
Nathan Floor has been renovated and offers a seamless blend of luxury and comfort for modern travelers.
2025
Platinum Floor has been renovated and designed with modern elegance and warm wood accents, offers a cozy space for guests.
